The score was tied going into the overtime Shoot Out of the championship game in the Check the Spirit In-Line Hockey Finals.  Standing tall between the pipes was young, Mike Trisch, a newcomer to the league.  The pressure was on knowing that a single goal was what separated the Blue Water Sports Dome (blues) versus the Play It Again Sports (grays) team, and all the bragging rights that went with the win.  The top scorer in the league for Play It Again Sports went first and scored with ease.  Now, it was up to net minder Trisch, to stonewall the opposition in order to give his team the championship trophy.

Needless to say, Mike stopped the shot from the opponent skating in on him from the Blue Water Sports Dome team.  For Mike, this was his first championship in this his first year of in-line hockey.  When asked how he felt, Mike shared, “I’m so happy to be able to help out the team.  I just love roller hockey.  Shawn Burr who owns the Dome is really the one who inspired me to be a hockey player.”
